Here we are about to kick off another Monday, another start to our week, or better yet a start to a life full of energy, love, laughter, and gratitude.
As you woke up and rubbed your tired eyes, how did you feel this morning? Maybe you found yourself feeling annoyed that it’s Monday and you have to get up for work. We all have those dreadful mornings with this feeling – but, let’s stop to think about how these oh so “dreadful” mornings kick off our day, our week, our life.
I don’t know about you, but I do not like to start my week off on the wrong foot. The dreadful foot. So what can we do to change this?
For starters, let’s get motivated! What motivates you to get up? Is it coffee, going to the gym, getting to talk to your office crush at work? Whatever it is we should use this motivation to set the tone for our week. However, before we even get to what is motivating us for the day we need to start motivating ourselves in life.
As you’re sitting here reading this, take a deep breath in – deep breath out. Deep breath in. Deep breath out. Let your mind focus on how you feel in this moment. Notice the stillness around you and say to yourself (or out loud) “Thank you for today.”
Practicing this every morning will eventually create a habit of waking up feeling grateful. So let’s kick this practice into gear, pour yourself a cup of coffee, let’s put all of our love & energy into today, and let’s ROCK. THIS. WEEK! ❤
